Initial development of this Portal was supported by the NSF-AGEP funded Research University Alliance (RUA). RUA was a collaboration between 9 R1 universities with the shared goal of diversifying the future professoriate nationally by creating robust professional development, mentoring and networking opportunities for advanced graduate students and postdocs. The 9 participating institutions included Caltech, Georgia Tech, Harvard University, Stanford University, UC Berkeley, UCLA, University of Michigan, University of Texas at Austin and University of Washington.
The RUA collaboration officially ended with the completion of the NSF-AGEP grant in March 2024. Going forward, the teams from Caltech, Harvard University, Stanford University and University of Washington continued this work through the creation of Postdoc Nexus. The members of this alliance are working together to manage and expand the Postdoc Portal
